How the Station Works
Sand art is a slower activity than most of what we do, which is the point — it gives the room a break. Kids layer fine colored sand into a clear bottle and end up with stripes, waves, and color blocks. It works for a wide age range because there's no skill floor.
We bring a funnel desk with built-in slots and pour dispensers, so kids fill the bottles without tipping the sand across your table. The host sets up on drop-cloths and seals each bottle with a compression cap when it's finished.
The bottle doubles as the party favor, so you don't need to buy separate goody bags. Bottles are plastic, not glass, and stand upright once capped. Common at birthdays, school events, and camp days.

Sand Art FAQ
Less than you'd think. The funnels and deep tray desks catch most of the stray sand, and we put floor covers under the tables. Some sand always ends up loose — our host sweeps it up before we leave.
We use clear plastic bottles, not glass, so a dropped bottle doesn't shatter. They stand upright once capped and hold up to being carried around in a car.
Once children are done creating their sand designs, our host seals the bottles using a secure plastic compression cap, followed by a layer of heavy-duty safety tape. On standard packages we add a ribbon tie around the neck. Sealed this way they hold up to a car ride home, though we wouldn't recommend turning one upside down and shaking it.
Yes, we request that you provide one standard 6-foot table for the sand art setup. We bring the custom funnel trays, sand dispensers, sand, bottles, drop-cloths, and all sealing materials. If a table is not available, please let us know when booking, and we can bring one for a small fee.
