Zombie Characters

Shuffling, groaning, permanently one step behind — and leading a zombie dance-along that gets an entire room of eleven-year-olds moving. This is the character that still works at the age most costumes stop working.

The one that works for tweens

Most costumed characters have an expiry date somewhere around age six, when children decide they're too old to be impressed. Zombies don't — partly because the humour is physical and slightly gross, and partly because a zombie dance-along is something an eleven-year-old can join in with without feeling like they're at a toddler's party.

The performance is comic rather than frightening. Our zombie is slow, confused, and loses every game he tries to play. Children end up ordering him around, which is the point.

It's also the strongest pick for a trunk-or-treat or any event where a crowd files past rather than sits down. A shuffling zombie reads instantly from thirty feet away; a seated act doesn't. For a car park or a block party, two roaming performers cover far more ground than one.

FAQs — Zombie characters

Seven and up, and it's one of the few characters that still lands with eleven and twelve-year-olds. For a room with under-fives in it we'd point you at the vampire or a mascot instead — the makeup is the part small children find hardest.
Tell us the ages and we'll pitch it. The default is cartoon-grey with tattered clothes — closer to a music video than a horror film. We can go milder on request, and for a young group we will anyway.
Yes, and zombies are the right pick for one. A crowd that files past wants something visual that works in five-second bursts, which a shuffling zombie does better than a seated act. Two performers roaming covers a car park far better than one.
No deposit on staffed entertainment — you pay when the performer arrives. Cash is our primary payment method; please arrange anything else with our team before the date.
